Step 1 of the workshop
Join the workshop Discord.
Everything during the event runs through Discord: announcements, tips, copy-paste prompts, and your pod's private room. Join before the room starts moving.
Already Have Discord
Two clicks and you are in.
1. Open the invite
Click discord.gg/ud3PUuQhEX on the device you will use during the workshop.
2. Accept the invite
You land in the #introductions channel. Post your name and one thing you want to build with AI.
New To Discord
No account yet? Five minutes, free.
1. Open the invite link
Go to discord.gg/ud3PUuQhEX. Discord will ask you to pick a display name.
2. Enter a display name
Use your real first name so your pod can find you. Discord then asks for your birthday and an email and password to finish the account.
3. Verify your email
Discord sends a confirmation email. Click the link in it, or your account may get logged out later in the day.
4. You are in the server
The invite drops you into the #introductions channel of the workshop server. Say hi so we know you made it.
Pod Rooms
Find your pod. Use only your pod's room.
Pods are assigned in the room at the start of the event. Once your pod has a number, that channel is your home base for the whole day: prompts, links, files, and help requests all go there.

How pods get assigned
Facilitators group people by mixed strengths at the start: each pod gets at least one person comfortable with a terminal, one strong writer or storyteller, and one organizer. You do not pick your own pod.
Wrong room rule
If a message is for your pod, it goes in your pod channel. #general is for room-wide questions only. Cross-pod chatter in the wrong room gets moved.
Stuck or blocked
Post in your pod channel and tag a facilitator. Do not sit silent. Someone rotating the room will come to you.
